Super Bowl XLV

Since the Bears lost to Green Bay in the NFC championship game on Jan. 23, I have had to endure all manner of torture at work. Not only have I had to (in the interests of fair and balanced reporting) run stories and photos about the evil Edam empire, but I have been forced to listen to hours of time-wasting chatter about a lame entry in the stupid Packers parade that is planned for the day before the Super Bowl. Grrr! All I can say at this point is...

GO STEELERS!!!

Go Bears!!

In light of the historic NFC championship matchup this Sunday between the Green Bay Fudge Packers and the Chicago Bears and because of all of the trash talk I have to put up with at work (LOL), here are a couple of anecdotes I'd like to share. This one was sent to me today by HeatherCrazy:

Two boys are playing hockey on a pond in a Chicago park when one of the boys is suddenly attacked by a crazed Rottweiler. Thinking quickly, the other boy takes his hockey stick, shoves it under the dog's collar, twists it and breaks the dog's neck, saving his friend.

A reporter is standing by, sees the incident, and rushes over to
interview the boy. "Young Cubs Fan Saves Friend from Vicious Animal" he starts writing in his notebook.

"But I'm not a Cubs fan," the little boy replies.

"Sorry but since we're in Chicago, I just assumed you were," says the reporter and starts writing again. "Sox Fan Rescues Friend from Horrific Attack," he writes in his notebook.

"But I'm not a White Sox fan either, " the little boy responds.

"Sorry but since we're in Chicago, I just assumed you were," says the intrepid reporter and starts writing again. "Bears Fan Rescues Friend from Horrific Attack," he scribbles in his notebook.

"I'm not a Bears fan either," says the boy.

"Oh... I assumed
everyone in Chicago was either for the Cubs, Sox or Bears. What team do you root for then?" the now confused reporter asks.

"I'm a Packers fan," the boy replies.

The reporter starts a new sheet in his notebook and furiously writes...
"Little Bastard from Wisconsin Kills Beloved Family Pet"

And here's one I stole (and judiciously edited) from the Facebook wall of a coworker:
A Bears fan, a Packers fan and a Seahawks fan are climbing a mountain and arguing about who loves his team more. The Seahawks fan insists that he is the most loyal.
"This is for the Seahawks!" he yells, and jumps off the side of the mountain.
Not to be outdone, the Bears fan is next to profess his love for his team. He yells,"This is for the Bears!" and pushes the Packers fan off the mountain.
LMAO! GO BEARS!!
