My year is off to a great start!! Following a lengthy interview process, last week I landed the position as public relations specialist at the local chamber of commerce and I am so thrilled! Today was my first day and although I was bombarded with a mountain of new information and seemingly overwhelming responsibilities, I refuse to be intimidated. After successfully tackling the extremely complex, detail-oriented job of night editor at The Daily Press, I know I can do this!
I didn't eat much breakfast and my stupid stomach was growling when we were in the conference room filling out all of the new-hire paperwork and going over stuff with the office manager. LOL I will eat something more substantial tomorrow morning for sure! They have a sweet little kitchen area for us to use and there is pop and water for only a quarter. The bathroom is super nice and huge. I am telling you, after what I had to deal with at the paper, this is like heaven!!
